This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which I (Steve Page) collects, uses, maintains and discloses information collected from users (each, a "User") of the steve-page-yorks.co.uk website ("Site"). This privacy policy applies to the Site.

Personal identification information
I may collect personal identification information from Users in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to, when Users visit my site, respond to a survey, fill out a form, and in connection with other activities, services, features or resources I make available on my Site. Users may be asked for, as appropriate, name and email address. Users may, however, visit my Site anonymously. I will collect personal identification information from Users only if they voluntarily submit that information to me. Users can always refuse to supply personally identification information, although that it may prevent them from making contact via the Site.

Non-personal identification information
I may collect non-personal identification information about Users whenever they interact with my Site. Non-personal identification information may include the browser name, the type of computer and technical information about Users means of connection to my Site, such as the operating system and the Internet service providers utilized and other similar information.

Web browser cookies
My Site may use "cookies" to enhance User experience. User's web browser places cookies on their hard drive for record-keeping purposes and sometimes to track information about them. User may choose to set their web browser to refuse cookies, or to alert them when cookies are being sent. If they do so, note that some parts of the Site may not function properly.

How I use collected information
I may collect and use Users personal information for the following purposes:

  Information you provide helps me respond to your customer service requests and support needs more efficiently.

  I may use feedback you provide to improve my products and services.

  I may use the email address you supply me with to respond to your inquiries, questions, and/or other requests and to alert you about new information or resources available on my Site if you have asked me to add you to the email list I hold for that purpose.

How I protect and store your information
I adopt appropriate data collection, storage and processing practices and security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction of your personal information, transaction information and data stored on my Site.

I maintain a list of the email addresses of people who have contacted me requesting that I provide updates of additions to the “Resources” page on my Site. This email list is a password protected document held on the hard drive of my work computer, to which I am the only person who has access.

Sensitive and private data exchange between the Site and its Users happens over a SSL secured communication channel and is encrypted and protected with digital signatures.
 

Subject Access Request

Under the General Data Protection Regulation you have the right to request a copy of any information I hold about you, which will normally be restricted to any contact details you have provided me with and any correspondence we have entered into. Provided I am able to do so I would respond to your request with one month of receiving it.

Right to have your data erased from my records

If you have made contact me via my web-site or by email, you have the right to have your contact details and the content of correspondence removed from my records, unless they form part of a record relating to the provision of a service to you, in which case please refer to the privacy policies governing the client and supervision services I provide.

If you wish me to erase your records, please send me an email making that request and I will comply as quickly as I can and normally within a month.  

Sharing your personal information
I do not sell, trade, or rent Users personal identification information to others. I may share generic aggregated demographic information not linked to any personal identification information regarding visitors and users with trusted affiliates for the purposes outlined above.

Third party websites
Users may find advertising or other content on my Site that link to the sites and services of, suppliers, advertisers, sponsors, licensors and other third parties. I do not control the content or links that appear on these sites and are not responsible for the practices employed by websites linked to or from my Site. In addition, these sites or services, including their content and links, may be constantly changing. These sites and services may have their own privacy policies and customer service policies. Browsing and interaction on any other website, including websites which have a link to my Site, is subject to that website's own terms and policies.

I am registered with the Office of the Information Commissioner, registration reference ZA080937. I comply with my obligations under the General Data Protection Regulation 2018.

Changes to this privacy policy
I have the discretion to update this privacy policy at any time. When I do, I will post a notification on the main page of my Site and revise the updated date at the bottom of this page. I encourage Users to frequently check this page for any changes to stay informed about how we are helping to protect the personal information I collect. You acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to review this privacy policy periodically and become aware of modifications.

By using this Site, you signify your acceptance of this policy. If you do not agree to this policy, please do not use my Site. Your continued use of the Site following the posting of changes to this policy will be deemed your acceptance of those changes.
